It seems that American Idol continues to take the world by storm. People have become fascinated with every aspect of every Idol's life from the clothes they wear, the beliefs they have to the latest news on their social escapades.
It is no different with American Idol Taylor Hicks. Hicks was recently caught in some explicit photos with a bikini wearing blond on a beach in Hawaii. The blond is Caroline Lyders, the morning co-anchor for the weekday edition of WISN "12 News This Morning" in Milwaukee.
Hicks was the 2006 American Idol when he won over Katherine McPhee with over 63.4 million votes.
I unfortunately do not care who Idols date and honestly do not think it really is our business. I have been amazed with the continued obsession with the show and the people who are on the show. I am one of those rare people who believe that it should be about the talent not who they are sleeping with or any parts of their personal life. I have always thought it was sad that social lives of celebrities are such a big news attention items. I would love to hear your thoughts as well.

Top-level comments on this article: (3 total)Stephany, I do not care one iota about Taylor Hick's latest love. I'm not fascinated about other peoples' personal lives including my neighbours. Taylor Hicks doesn't register and that goes for all the other 'celebrities.' I know some really great people virtually that I admire more. Take you for instance. You're writing articles and we've never met. I have a reason to look up to you and I do. Keep the articles coming! Thanks Avis for the compliment and encouragement! I could not agree more with your sentiments!
But if we don't read about all the celebrities and their romatic trysts, the folks who work for the slam shee...er, uh, I mean...celebrity publications won't have anything to do and will be out of a job! We can't have that, can we? :DI think it would be a relief to not have to shield my kids in the line at the store from those stories.! I appreciate the comment and sarcasm :)
Hi Stephany -- As I read your article, I immediately thought of the old radio styles of the like of Hedda Hoppa. I enjoyed this and, like you, I really don't care about the personal lives of celebrities. (Hate to admit it) but I do religiously watch AI and enjoy seeing the talent grow throught the season. Thanks for the newsy article, good job!Judi-Thanks for the compliment! I think AI is a great show and has allowed many people opportunities they would never have gotten! Thanks for commenting!
