Lindsay Lohan: Who's Taking the Pictures and How Does She Stay In Trouble?

Lindsay Lohan continues to be in the news lately. The latest news comes from revealing pictures of Lohan's that her closest friends (some friends!) released to the media in a so-called "effort to get help."

The pictures showed Lohan posing with another friend doing strange things with sharp knives. Not sure the point behind the pics, I guess some find women with knives appealing? For those who do, should I remind you of the name Bobbit. I am sure Mr. Bobbit would not find the pics of Lohan with the knives sexy. But that is a completely different subject.

The winning picture, of course, is gracing the cover of People magazine this week with Lohan passed out in a car. The best part is the pic before that one had her laying with her head to the side looking asleep. Someone then had the forethought to move her head so that her mouth was open and she looked more wasted. With friends like that, who needs enemies?

But here is my question, how come this teenager is able to get in so much trouble? I know you are thinking it is the lack of parental supervision, or the alcohol and drugs. That is where I am taking issue. How does she get the alcohol and drugs anyway? She is underage so how does she get the alcohol?

I know what it is. It is the fact that so many people are so impressed or intimidated with celebrities and stars that they just bow down to them. Recently, I read an article about the St. Louis pitcher who died after leaving a bar drunk. His father is suing the bar and the bartender for serving him after he had too many drinks. It is a sad world that people are so impressed with celebrities that they will allow them to do anything even if it is something that could ultimately end up in their death!

What is glamorous about a teenage girl who obviously needs serious help? That could be your daughter. Why not help her by not selling alcohol or even the drugs to her for that matter? If you are her friends and seriously want to help her, put down the camera and quit drinking, partying with her!

It has been disheartening to see a child with talent and a future throw it all away because of those older not making the right decisions concerning her welfare.

You are so right. Some firends, indeed, and I found myself laughing, then chiding myself for it. I loved Lindsay in Parent Trap 2 andwas surprised to see her go down such a wild path.

That is what so sad about all of this. She is a talented actress, but her lifestyle is now affecting her job. Thanks for the comment!

Great article! Personally I don't know how any responsible journalist (oops those may be mutually exclusive terms) deems this situation newsworthy. I think it speaks to the morals of the adults and the money everyone involved makes off this hype(they are actors afterall). Of course it's also a big build up to the 21st birthday bash in Vegas. Lord knows what ribaldry awaits,lol.
