Vanessa Hudgens Photos- A Disney Nightmare?

Well, we have all heard the news about High School Musical’s real-life romance between the characters Gabriela and Troy, actors Vanessa Hudgens and Zac Efron. However, for those who thought it was an innocent love affair and it was ok for your kids to love the show, scandal has hit the Internet.
Vanessa apparently thought it would be cute to send her boyfriend, Zac, a nude picture of herself. Rumors say she did this by cell phone. Not the smartest move in the book. Well, now Disney has a whole new issue to resolve.
"This was a photo which was taken privately," Hudgens ' representative said in the statement, confirming that the naked girl in the first leaked picture really is Vanessa Hudgens .
Vanessa’s future in High School Musical 3 now remains uncertain, since Disney does not like to promote the image of bad girls, instead preferring to promote good, innocent girls.
As a parent, I am a little upset by her actions. She is a role model and I really do not want to explain to my six-year-old why she isn’t in the next movie.
When will famous people realize that their actions do have an effect on the public? Why not keep that in private? Rumors are that she wanted out of contract obligations with Disney. Is there not a better way to get out of them?
I know she is young and we all do stupid stuff, especially when we are young and in love. Those two things should be against the law. But if you are going to take a role in a major movie or put yourself in the public eye, be responsible!
Realize that young kids do look up to you. With the success of these movies, there is a whole new generation growing up with this new influence. Disney has every right to give her the boot. These kids really do need to realize that there are consequences for actions before it gets to out of hand like the Lindsay Lohan's life.
That is my two cents, what is yours? Yes, the pictures are online for all the world to see, but that is a whole other story. Feel free to google them-it really is sad that she had that little respect for herself or sad that whoever did release them had that little respect or both.

Yes it was silly, yes she should not have done it but no way would she have known then that should become famous. In fact since becoming so you can say she has changed her life around and is a very good role mode. My kids still adore her and I have explained the situation to them and they said "So What" ....... I am not going to discourage them from looking up to someone who has made a mistake. The important thing is to learn from those mistakes and not crucify people for them.Thanks for commenting! I guess my concern is the story has said she was 18-it was taken for her boyfriend. I have to disagree-I will discourage my daughter to looking up to her. For one, she is an actress-no amount of reporting can tell you enough about them to justify having a kid look up to them. I understand mistakes and forgiveness, but if you say it is ok-then you might be asking your kids to make that same mistake especially if you promote it as someone to look up to. If she's done it while she was 16, isn't that a child porno? Anyways, according to many, she is 18 in that picture. Meaning it is recently taken, coz she is 18 now and turning 19 in December. I'm a teenager, so I watch HSM coz of the dance steps and the music. I don't care about Vanessa. In fact, the first time mom saw her she had this feeling that she is a fake. She pointed out to me all her poses for the camera. She said this girl is or has a tendency to becoming a slut, coz if you compare pictures of all HSM actors/actresses, she poses seductively, while the others poses innocently. She said she didn't look or act brainy and innocent in the show ... but more of slutty. The way she dressed (showing cleavages) is not how brainy people dress. Her "classmates" in the show were dressing more modest than her. I watched and analyzed the show and mom was indeed right. And now with this leaked photo on the Internet ... mom proves to be correct all along. I love my mom. She explains everything well to me. She is my role model, and not Disney's fake actress, Vanessa Hudgens.Way to go Jez. Your mom sounds very brilliant and you seem to know what is right! Glad to know that you saw right through her.
